Dr. Wania-Galicia was awarded her Doctor of Medicine degree by the University of Santo Tomas in April, 1992. She completed her Residency in Anesthesiology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and then completed her Clinical Fellowship in Pain Management at the University of California - Davis Medical Center, in Sacramento, California. After completing her Fellowship, she was appointed to the faculty of the School of Medicine, progressing to become the Director of Education for Medical Students during her tenure at U.C. Davis. Named Teacher of the Year in 2006 and 2010, Dr. Wania-Galicia is a member of the Honor Sorority of Female Physicians, Theta Lambda Phi.
Dr. Wania-Galicia has been in private practice in Thousand Oaks, servicing patients from throughout the Conejo Valley and eastern Ventura County since 2010. Her holistic (whole patient) approach to pain management empowers her patients by enabling them to participate in their own pain care. She provides pharmacotherapeutic and interventional injection-based modalities. Following comprehensive review and evaluation of the patient's symptoms and history, Dr. Wania-Galicia and the patient decide on the treatment plan together.
